In order to understand the purpose and function of your wonderful gift of Faith you must consider the nature of God. First, God is all your good, the source of everything you need spiritually and materially. But this source is invisible. And in the invisible it remains as potential, not necessarily in your living experience. Naturally, you want to experience your good. You want to have your needs met. So you need the ability to draw out from the invisible all your good. You want to develop the ability to receive the countless blessings that rest as potential in God, the invisible Source.
How do you actively involve yourself in the process of drawing your good from God? By using Faith! Faith is your affirmative power. It is your ability to say "Yes" to God and to your good. Simply acknowledging your needs doesn't mean that your needs will be met. You must also acknowledge that which you need and say "Yes" to it. Say "Yes" to God and your good and move it into your living experience. Saying "Yes" to perfect transportation is a far cry from acknowledging a broken down car. Complaining and being angry drains that very energy that could be directed toward drawing your good from your invisible Source.
