“Parting is such sweet sorrow.” (William Shakespeare)

As I prepare to retire and leave my beautiful Unity family, I have been reflecting on that Shakespearean quote. I am so excited about the next chapter of my life, and yet there is that bit of sweet sorrow that comes bubbling up in my consciousness.

We have been on the path of spiritual expansion and together have learned the deeper understanding of metaphysics and divine law. We have come to realize that we live in a sea of pure positive potential. We have been a spiritual support for one another— lifting our vision and holding that higher thought for peace of mind, happiness, success, health, abundance and radiant living.

We have come to understand and know that there is a plan for each of us and that we are totally equipped to carry out that plan and live in joy. We have been empowered to reach for the stars and follow God’s guidance knowing always that we are not alone—that God loves us, cares for us, guides us and directs us.

We have learned that having a desire is not some far off wish, but a very real message from our God. “Desire in the heart is always God tapping at the door of your consciousness with His infinite supply, a supply that is forever useless unless there be demand for it.” (H. Emilie Cady). There is nothing that stands between us, our heart’s desire, and our greater good. Our desires already exist in possibilities; the very reason we have a desire is because God is seeking to give it to us. “Fear not little flock; for it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32).

A wonderful affirmation is:
I fear not. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give me the kingdom (heart’s desire) and it is my good pleasure to receive and accept it!

Or we may affirm:
The serene, calm, trustful Spirit now accomplishes all the desires of my heart. I rest in peace. (Charles Fillmore)

Unity of Delray Beach is a pillar of Truth, and throughout its history has fulfilled its purpose, “to help and teach mankind to use and prove the eternal Truth taught by the Master.” (Charles Fillmore). We teach a spiritually empowered way of living through positive, practical Christianity.

It has been an extreme honor and great pleasure to have served as your minister for the past 25 years. So boldly we proclaim in our departing, “Oh, the places we will go! The things we will see! The experiences we will have! We are off to Great Places and Miracles are to be had!”

God bless you,
Nancy
